Mom at the grocery store - summer 2022. She died at the end of the same year from a life ending cancer.
ABOUT
My filmmaking practice is guided by feminist care ethics and experimentation with cinematic shape and form. This story will draw on the Japanese philosophy of ‘Wabi-sabi’ that explores the beauty in imperfection, as an approach to study mother daughter relationships. Golden Mimosa Symphony captures the complex inner lives of women, contributing to the feminist landscape of documentary and breaks ground for more complex and difficult female-centered stories to be told in a new way.
